To download and set up Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets (such as Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano X, and Ledger Nano S Plus), follow these steps:
Downloading Ledger Live
Visit the Official Ledger Website:
Open your web browser and go to the official Ledger website: ledger.com.
Download the App:
On the Ledger Live page, select the appropriate version of Ledger Live for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
Click the download button to start downloading the installer.
Installing Ledger Live
Run the Installer:
Once the download is complete, locate the installer file in your downloads folder and double-click it to begin the installation process.
Follow Installation Prompts:
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. This process will vary slightly depending on your operating system.
Setting Up Ledger Live
Open Ledger Live:
After installation, open Ledger Live by clicking on its icon.
Initialize Ledger Live:
Upon opening the app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to set up Ledger Live. Choose whether you are setting up a new device or already have a Ledger device.
Connect Your Ledger Device:
Connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer using the provided USB cable.
Enter your PIN on the Ledger device.
Install Ledger Live App:
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Ledger Live app on your hardware wallet if it’s not already installed.
Add Accounts:
Once your device is set up and recognized, you can add accounts for different cryptocurrencies. Click "Add Account," choose the cryptocurrency you want to manage, and follow the prompts to add it to your Ledger Live.
